Dear ISMVL-2003 participant,
Here is some useful information from the Local Arrangement Committee.
1. Registration
Registration will be available on the 13th floor from 16:00 through 20:00 on May 16, and from 8:30 on May 17.
2. Lunch
Since the Symposium site is located in Ochanomizu a vivacious area with various restaurants and eateries, we have decided not to provide lunch at the conference site. We hope you would enjoy the taste of neighboring Japanese restaurants and will have good time during the breaks. During the conference sessions coffee with some snacks like a Danish pastry will be served.
3. Venue
The invited talk on the May 17th will be given in the Liberty Hall located on the first floor of the Liberty Tower, Meiji University. All other sessions including the ULSI workshop will be held in the rooms 1133 and 1134 on the 13th floor of the Liberty Tower. (Please note that the room number 1133 does not imply its location on the 11th floor.). The reception on Friday and the conference dinner on Sunday will be held on the top floor of the Liberty Tower, called the Kishimoto hall and the salon Shikon, where you can enjoy a picturesque view of downtown Tokyo.
4. Projectors and Laptops
For your presentation, an LCD projector and a PC running on Windows with Power Point installed will be set in every room. You may certainly bring your own laptop to ensure compatibility with your files. Unfortunately, the Japanese version of Power Point often causes a trouble with fonts and other features.
5. SARS
Until now, no SARS patients have been registered in Japan.
We wish you a safe trip to Japan and look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Hiroaki Kikuchi
